My love affair with Architecture began in the fall of 1995 when I started my 5-year degree at the Carleton University School of Architecture in Ottawa (now the Azrieli School of Architecture & Urbanism). Where other schools tend to focus on the pragmatic and more technical aspects of architectural education, Carleton's program stands high above the rest with its brilliant combination of philosophy, theory, science, creative and artistic development, and the fundamental importance of narrative-based conceptual frameworks as the source of all great architectural achievements. Countless hours of intense hand drawing, sketching, life drawing, painting, etc. not only gave me an invaluable set of skills with regards to turning concepts into reality, they also gave me one of my life's biggest passions.
